Are your garments 100% organic?

All the cotton in VioletBee garments are 100% organic, however, 40% of our T-shirts are recycled plastic bottles which make them not 100% organic.    The cotton in our T-shirts are trimmings that are collected during fashion manufacturing processes and are certified under the Organic Content Standard by the Control Union Certifications. Our T-shirts are also certified under the Global Recycle Standard.   Our sweatshirts are 100% organic and are certified under the Global Organic Standard (GOTS).

What kind of ink do you use?

All our printing is done with MagnaColours® water-based inks. MagnaColours® are innovators in water-based inks for textile screen-printing and their mission is to make the industry greener and more sustainable. For 40 years, they have been developing and manufacturing inks that contain none of the harmful chemicals that traditional plastisol inks have, which means they are healthier for the environment and the end users.   MagnaPrint® is produced in Barnsley, Yorkshire and distributed all over the world featuring on the products of major brands including Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and Super Dry.

What do you do to give back to the community?

1% of all our sales will be donated to Trees for Cities via Work for Good.   Trees for Cities helps build resilience against threats facing the natural environment by planting urban trees worldwide. Planting a range of tree species enhances structural and functional diversity in woodlands and on city streets, as well as building resistance to pests and disease. It also runs Edible Playgrounds in school to introduce children to healthy eating while boosting mood and confidence with learning in an outdoor setting.    Trees for Cities is the only UK charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by planting trees in cities. It has planted over 200,000 trees in 16 cities in 13 countries.

Do we accept exchanges?

Yes, we provide free exchanges for different sizes of the same item (to avoid disappointment, please check the size guide here before confirming the order). Items must be unworn with tags attached and in original packaging. Please email us at hello@violetbee.co.uk with the order number, the item that you would like to exchange and the new size that you would like us to send.   The exchange will be processed within 14 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) from the date we received your returned items. Please keep your receipt as proof of sending when returning your order until you receive your new item.

Do we accept returns?

We do hope you like your order. However, if there is any reason you want to return the items, you can return any unworn items with tags attached in original packaging within 14 days from the date you received your order. Please email hello@violetbee.co.uk to inform a member of our team of your order number and the item number that your wish to return.   The refund will be processed within 14 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) from the date we received your returned items. Please keep your receipt as proof of sending when returning your order until you have received your refund.    Once we have completed your return, we will email you letting you know that we have carried out a refund. All refunds are via the original method of payment. It typically takes 3-5 working days from the date we make the refund for it to appear on your credit/debit card. You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.
